The Quietly Brilliant Blueprint For Teens

Every teen I work with starts here.

A one-off, two-hour coaching deep dive to help your teen recognise their strengths, understand how they work best and make informed decisions about what comes next after education.

The Quietly Brilliant Blueprint is particularly valuable at key transition points, including choosing GCSEs or A levels, applying for university, apprenticeships or employment, or whenever your teen feels uncertain about what comes next.

Your teen might recognise themselves here if they ...

  • ...know how to revise but don't know how to answer, "What are you good at?"

  • ...can explain what they've learned, but not what they have to offer.

  • ...feel under pressure to choose a future they don't yet feel ready for.

  • ...keep saying, "I don't know." when asked what they want to do.

  • ...are quietly capable but often overlooked because they don't naturally shout the loudest.

Why I created the Quietly Brilliant Blueprint for Teens

I've spent over 20 years watching capable young people leave education with good grades but very little understanding of who they are beyond them.

Schools prepare young people to succeed in education. They rarely have the time or opportunity to help them understand their strengths, recognise how they work best or discover where they're most likely to thrive.

Yet we ask them to make some of the biggest decisions of their lives at exactly this point.

The Quietly Brilliant Blueprint was created to change that. It isn't about telling your teen what they should do. It's about helping them understand themselves well enough to make confident, informed decisions about whatever comes next.

How does it work?

1. The questionnaires

Before we meet, both you and your teen complete a short onboarding questionnaire. Your teen also completes a DISC behavioural profile, helping me build a detailed understanding of how they naturally think, communicate and work. This means our time together is focused entirely on your teen, not spent gathering background information.

2. The coaching session

During our personalised two-hour coaching session, we'll explore your teen's strengths, values, motivations, communication style and the environments where they're most likely to thrive. Together, we'll challenge limiting beliefs, connect the dots and build greater clarity about what comes next.

3. The Personalised Blueprint

After the session, you'll receive your teen's personalised Quietly Brilliant Blueprint, summarising the key insights and agreed action points. We'll then have a short 10-minute parent feedback call to talk through the Blueprint, answer any questions and discuss how you can best support your teen moving forward.

For many teens, the Blueprint provides the clarity they need. Where further support would be beneficial, we'll create a bespoke coaching package tailored to your teen's Blueprint.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What happens after the suitability call?

If we both feel the Quietly Brilliant Blueprint is the right starting point, I'll send you a private booking link to secure your teen's session.

Once your booking is confirmed:

You'll complete a parent onboarding questionnaire.

Your teen will complete their own onboarding questionnaire.

I'll review both questionnaires before sending your teen a DISC behavioural profile.

I'll analyse everything in advance so our two-hour coaching session is completely personalised.

Following the session, you'll receive your teen's personalised Quietly Brilliant Blueprint, summarising the key insights, agreed action points and next steps.

Will this work if my teen is anxious, unmotivated or reluctant to engage?

The Quietly Brilliant Blueprint works best when your teen is willing to take part in the conversation, even if they're feeling anxious, uncertain or overwhelmed.

They don't need to know what they want to do or arrive feeling confident. They simply need to be open to exploring who they are and what might be possible.

If your teen is completely unwilling to engage, this isn't the right time. Coaching is something we do with a young person, not to them.

Will my teen leave knowing exactly what they want to do?

Not necessarily. And that's not the aim.

The Quietly Brilliant Blueprint isn't about telling your teen what they should do. It's about helping them understand themselves well enough to make confident, informed decisions about whatever comes next.

Some teens leave with a clear direction. Others leave with something equally valuable: a much deeper understanding of their strengths, values and the environments where they're most likely to thrive.
